A Palladian building is often but not solely recognised for its historical references, symmetry and ornamentation. But how far can you strip away detail from Palladio’s buildings before they stop being Palladian? Who are the true inheritors of the ‘Palladian’ title? This debate with Hugh Pearman editor of RIBA Journal and Robert Adam architect chaired by Alireza Sagharchi, Chair of the Traditional Architecture Group distils the essence of Palladian design. Hosted by TAG The Traditional Architecture Group, a linked society of the RIBA.
