Art Theory: Art and the Moving Image: Some Histories and Legacies

1 – 15 June 2016

Camden Arts Centre

What draws sculptors, painters, poets, performers and writers to experiment with the moving image? Taking inspiration from Franciszka and Stefan Themersons’ pioneering experiments with film, this short course explores some of the ways in which the avant-garde, alongside more recent artists, have responded to film and video.

This course is run in partnership with LUX;  the second session will take place at the LUX office in Dalston and will make use of its extensive film collection.
