Where is the body? is a multi-discipline research project driven by a range of theoretical and practice concerns shared by the initial members of the cluster, often hinging on the importance of being able to choose to put one’s body in to an act of transgression. From the outset, we have recognized that the body is most often registered as a given, rather than taking its place as central to discussion. We are seeking to counter this by establishing dialogue that hinges on, and centralizes, the body in contemporary experience and debate.
